Rose Sira,
Director of Software Support Services
Rose_sira  Growing up just south of Albany, I have always found the capital city to be like a second home. After graduating from high school, I attended the College of St. Rose. Like so many others; still not knowing "what I want to be when I grow up", I went in as a computer major and graduated with a BA in Business Administration instead. I am sure the Capital Computer programmers agree with that slight adjustment.
From there I worked for several divisions of Key Corp in the trust/estate and property management areas as a Trust Officer and Accounting Officer. When KeyCorp merged with Society Bank in Cleveland, OH, I made the transition to Plaza Associates LLC as a Property Management Accountant, rather than relocating.
I met my husband Paul in Albany and we married in 1991. Once we started our own family, I returned to the Catskills, where my immediate family still resides. While Paul's family is located on the tip of Long Island, I do count us lucky to have the best of both worlds; mountains and ocean. We love taking advantage of both! continued

Sharing client accomplishments and recognizing system users that are "making a difference"
Editor's Note: Since the initial implementation of WinCap at the Putnam-Northern Westchester BOCES, Michele Wilson has been the catalyst for distributing system functionality throughout that organization. She has not only served her own organization but has also selflessly contributed her time and energy to be part of numerous WinCap user groups, task groups, and advisory groups to make WinCap the best system for all of our clients. On a personal note, we would also like to extend our congratulations to Michele on her becoming a grandmother three times over with the recent arrival of her daughter's triplets! Below is Michele's perspective on her BOCES' WinCap experience, and in sharing this we want to recognize her as a dedicated system user that is making a difference for her organization, her fellow employees and for all WinCap users.

WinCap - A Profile in Success
By Michele Wilson
Assistant to the Director of HR and Administrative Services
Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES
"Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES implemented WinCap for Accounting, Payroll, and HR in 2001. It has by far been one of the most successful system implementations we've ever experienced.  For HR, WinCap has become our "bible" and remains a key component of our successful HR operation. We're looking forward to celebrating our 10th anniversary in the spring of 2011!
Always striving to increase automation, improve workflow, and reduce paper (that's our mantra!), we've embraced every opportunity as new WinCap features, modules, and initiatives have become available. I've been fortunate to act as Project Manager on many of these WinCap projects and initiatives. Over the years, I've been a member of several WinCap advisory and task groups and instituted the first WinCap regional user group in NYS, even planning and hosting our first regional user group meeting.
Early on we saw the value in going beyond basic employee demographic and position data to employee appointments. We implemented the benefits module, then, kicked things up a notch by introducing off-payroll benefits and dependents. We welcomed the Enhanced Reporting Module with open arms coining it "the greatest thing since sliced bread". Utilizing Board Actions to automate our Board Agenda was next on our to-do list. And, most recently, we launched WinCapWeb Employee Self-Service (the second greatest thing since sliced bread!) and Time & Attendance.  What's next? The sky's the limit really.
I am hardly solely responsible for all we've accomplished. Our successes would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our WinCap System Manager, Jill Wahren. Our dedicated business office, payroll, HR, and department staff are keys to our success. We've had the full support of administration and our board. And, we have forged a positive, productive, and collaborative relationship with Capital Computer Associates. We value our partnership with CCA and we appreciate the hard work, support, and dedication of management and the support staff.  We're looking forward to another 10 years!"

We invite all of you to send in your WinCap Best Practice(s) to share with other WinCap Users. Check back monthly to learn from others. Thank you in advance for your participation! BPE@wincap.com
RAMI Fixed Asset Management Interface
is now Operation

CCA is pleased to officially announce that our electronic interface with Real Asset Management International's (RAMI) Series4000 fixed asset management products is now fully operational. This interface allows for detailed information about new asset acquisitions that are processed through the WinCap purchasing and accounts payable functions to seamlessly flow to the RAMI asset register for subsequent tracking, auditing, and valuation. This joint venture arrangement with RAMI realizes our objective of providing a completely integrated fixed asset inventory management solution for WinCap.

If you would like further information about this solution, please contact Susan Tyler 518.435.0500, ext. 129, or email susan@wincap.com.
We anticipate conducting demonstrations through webinars in early February. Let Susan know if you'd like to be notified when the schedule is available.

We are pleased to welcome two new staff members to the WinCap Team:
Chuck Gamache has joined the CCA programming team as an Application Developer. Chuck will be working on the development of WinCapWEB applications to facilitate electronic workflow for our client sites. Chuck has over five years of experience in developing system automation and web applications.
Frank Modder has joined the Payroll/HR Support Group. Frank has spent the past six years as a Payroll Specialist and as a Human Resource Coordinator. Through those roles he had the opportunity to provide in-house staff training and to participate in various time and attendance initiatives.

MEET THE TEAMbottom continued from above
Our family has grown to 5, adding Paul Jr., now 17, Beth, 16, and David, 14. As you can imagine, the last 17 years have been filled with chasing them around. I look forward to the day when Paul Sr. and I get to dictate our own social agenda again. College visits now seem to have filled in any moment of respite that comes with the children getting older.
If it weren't for the family, I would never have found my way to Capital Computer Associates. As the family continued to grow, I decided to take advantage of a local opportunity and accepted the position of Treasurer/Accountant for the Catskill Central School District. Although an active parent in the educational community and serving the remainder of a term on the Board of Education, this was my first experience with school district operations from the inside. Eventually this led to my introduction to WinCap during our search for new financial software. In April 2004, I joined Capital Computer where I spent time on both the accounting support and payroll/HR support team. Today, I am proud to continue my contribution as the Director of Software Support Services.
Being able to assist our clients with the use of a very powerful software product, along with my passion for teaching, has made Capital Computer Associates an easy fit for me. I always look forward to meeting our clients, assisting with the transformation of their business operations and being a part of shaping future functionality for WinCap.
